Our resources

To enable parks, outside spaces and nature reserves to work towards becoming more dementia friendly, three new resources have been developed and are free to watch and download. We would like to thank all of the sites and individuals who have been involved in testing and revising the resources, as their feedback has been invaluable.

1) An introductory video

• The following short video offers an introduction to dementia and the principles of dementia friendly environmental design.

2) An environmental self-assessment tool

• This tool will help you to identify areas around your site where improvements can be made to become more dementia friendly.

3) An accompanying guide

• The guide provides useful background information which will help you when you want to carry out an assessment.
